In my day job, I write for a new fintech that serves over-50s. I kinda like it. The people are nice (if very young) and that makes up for all the hard bits.
I also get to work with great writers, like Paula Goodyer, who inspired me to start strength training.
Yep. Me. Laziest person in the universe now touches weights. I occassionally lift them, too.
I am such a wanker that I even have a trainer.
But I am no Paula.
Every time I touch a dumb bell or do a resistance exercise (hello Sumo Squats, I’m looking at you), I hurt. And by hurt, I mean HURT. So sore I can hardly walk up the stairs.
I push through this because I know it’s good for me.
