Published on APA Psycnet, the interesting thing is that most of the 2006 people polled believed they looked younger than their age.
The majority (59%) reported appearing relatively younger than peers, while fewer reported appearing the same age (35%) or older (6%). About a third (35%) reported investing in looking younger.
(Those numbers might be different if they were Aussies, who live under the harsh sun that makes us wrinkle way before our time - we may be more ‘realistic’ than Americans.)
